Still have problems 48 V electric
Continue to have problems with Chinese golf cart. Electric, 48 volt limo type. Starts, accelerates for a few minutes, then slows to a crawl. Replaced solenoid, new batteries, but when lifted, rear wheels went a rapid speed then slowed right down. Any ideas would be appreciated. Wondering now if it might be the controller. I am not handy, and live in Panama which doesn't seem to have any competent troubleshooters!!!!

Re: Still have problems 48 V electric
Might want to watch the voltage at the motor while you are driving... If the voltage drops when the buggy slows, check the battery/controller. If not, look at the motor and diff.
Good luck! |

Re: Still have problems 48 V electric
There is a LED that usually blinks that shows an error code.
It could be a number of things, such as the speed sensor. Did you change the motor at all ? I doubt that it is hitting thermal cutback. Could be voltage cutback, you will need to see what voltage you have on your battery pack with a meter when you are accelerating and see how low it drops to. The manual is online, and is a good reference point for the error codes. |
