Looking for help

I just got this at a Govt. auction and I'm trying to get some info on it. I paid $488 for it and I might be better off to sell it and try to get my money back, rather than try to get it going and then sell it. I haven't found a ID tag yet.I think its a Cushman Hawk..late 90's or early 20's.. It has no batteries. It's a 36 volt system. It takes 6 ,6 volt batteries..3 on each side. I don't want to put the money in 6,6 volt batteries and hope everything else works, so I would like to use 3 ,12 volt batteries if I could to keep the cost down. I need a wiring diagram for this cart or some directions from some one that knows how to do it. I have tried to find used 6 volt batteries and have had no luck. If anyone knows of someone that sells them in the Toledo, Oh area, or any where within 150 miles, I would be glad to hear from you.I attached a photo of the cart.
