Hyundai Electric Golf Cart
Hello, I just picked up a hyundai electric golf cart. It's in great shape. I got it from my grandpa and he hardly ever used it so I ended up with it. So I have a few questions and this forum has always helped me out so hoping for the same again.
First off I don't know to much about these electric golf carts. I picked this thing up for free with the charger. However it does need batteries. And that's where I have questions. I want to convert this thing from 36 volts to 48 by using 4 deep cycle 12v batteries. I understand that going to 12v batteries can cut your run time down. But I have a friend that works at a battery plant that can get me brand new deep cycle battery's for 30 dollars a piece so that's the main reason I am wanting to use 12v batteries. So here's my questions: Resistor? Where do I find a 48 volt resistor? Do these hyundai's have resistors? Is it really worth going from 36 to 48v? I will be using It at the lake for little trips but will be loaded down with people. Please share any info about these golf carts. Like I said. I don't know much about them so anything is appreciated. Thanks in advance! |
