Steering gear bad ?
Just switched out the front end on my 88 DS with the newer style , 95 I think , anyway , got it all bolted up and it goes down the road straight but when I go to turn , it feels like its "catching" on something ( I thought a wheel was rubbing or something) if you turn a little harder, it gets past it....jacked it back up but nothing is hitting , ......could the gear have a bad spot in it somehow? im not really sure what they look like inside but I cant see anything else wrong....

Re: Steering gear bad ?
Well I figured it out (after putting in a different gear and had the same sticking) it was that **** knuckle ujoint , apparently , it will go on either way but I had it upside down (sure looks like it shouldn't matter ) but it was binding up the way I had it , flipped it over and no binding....
