Default Calling Navitas Experts! Navitas 600a Settings with FSIP High Torque Motor

Hey all! 2016 CCP here, 6 inch lift, 23's and a rear seat.

Just installed my FSIP torque motor, 2 ga. wires and heavy duty Solenoid. The Navitas firmware has been updated. Cart drives smooth as butter.

QUESTION - What settings can I further tweak in the Navitas app to get the most out of this set up. I already have 23" inch tires selected with 25 MPH top speed (and I hit exactly 25 on the flats). Thise are the only changes I made.

Really bought this motor to help with the big hills in my neighborhood, and it is definitely better, but looking possibly to get a little more out of it. I Have no idea what all of the settings on the app mean or do, so I certainly don't want to make things worse.

Thouht I would check here before calling Navitas Monday.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Check out the Navitas site, many manuals / videos available. Here's a guide for the DC controllers:

Not real familiar with the Navitas controllers, but first thing will be to make sure you have the proper field map for your motor loaded in the controller.
Navitas refers to this as the "Controller Firmware", and this determines what parameters are within the operating range of the motor that is being used.
Using the wrong field map can/will cause the motor to burn up. If you don't find your motor in their list, call and make sure they have a compatible field map for your motor before using/driving the cart any more.
You should also be able to get that info from the seller you bought the motor from.

Next would be just making small changes to one setting at a time and then taking it out for a drive. See if you like how that changes affects the cart, and if it causes any excess heat in the motor or controller. Heat is the killer of motors, so get an infrared temp gun if you don't have one, and use it to check motor and controller temps periodically as you are driving around.

I believe if you set the speed to 25 MPH, it will limit the speed to 25 MPH. Set it a few MPH higher. Make sure maximum RPM is correct for your motor.
