Question Looking into repowering my 86 CC DS!

Thanks to all who've helped on my quest to get this obsolete
Cart to run once more. However Because of the lack and high cost of parts
For this engine (kf82) I'm now thinking of installing a new engine.
I'm not in the market for a CC engine, too propitiatory and also too
Costly. I'm thinking more in the area of a Kohler, Honda, or any low cost
Engine that I would be able to re install the clutch on.
I'm skimming over possibilitys.
Anyone have ideas on this angle?

It doesn't necessarily have to a large h.p. Engine
Just as long as it runs like it used too. I'd like to drive
My little Granddaughter around in it, not for climbing
Hills or anything like that.

This is going into my GEM project cart;

Naturally, some modifications are required but the rotation is correct for your cart (CCW) and with an adapter you can use your old clutch and exhaust.
Have a read in the "Big block" section here on BGW, there's a veritable mine of information available on this and other engines.

Chris.
