03 DS speed magnet?

A neighbor has an 03 DS that wants to speed it up. The Serial number starts with AC03. I took a quick look at the motor and it doesn't have the top hat over the end, just a flat plate. Can i change the magnet or does this motor not have one?

DS has a series motor, no magnet.
