Default 48v batteries were showing 56v

Hey gang. I woke up this morning at the campground, when I went to unplug the charger it was very warm and my soc meter on my cart was showing 56v.
Anyone have any idea what would cause this?

As long as your charger wasn't on for more than 16 hours or so that actually sounds normal to me. Chargers will throw a lot more than 48v into a pack after which the pack will settle back down.

Most 48v chargers will charge the pack to 60v or so before kicking off.

It was only plugged up for 8 hours. I dont recall seeing 56v on it before and the charger was much warmer than ever..
But after unplugging it and rode around the campground it settled back to 51 52.
