MPT 1000 just died on us
Been having an issue on our MPT 1000 utility cart where you would stop driving and when you hit the pedal again it would just click and not go. Well today the cart just died.
Headlights come on. Battery meter lights up and says full. No clicking at all when you hit the pedal. 1264-507 controller, flashing status code of 25 which i think has something to do with the +5V supply too low. But I’m not sure what to check at this point. Going to start looking for broken wires but wanted to start a post on this for ideas or better troubleshooting steps for me. |

Re: MPT 1000 just died on us
Can someone point me to information on testing the solenoid? Worst case I ordered one and I’m just going to swap it. If it doesn’t fix I’ll ship it back to amazon. But if I can do some testing of the solenoid before taking it out and can find out if it is good or bad that could save some effort.

Re: MPT 1000 just died on us
With switches and controls set for driving cart forward, but before pedal is pushed, measure voltage on solenoid's small terminal with a yellow wire on it.
If you measure battery pack voltage (50.9V when fully charged), measure the voltage on the solenoid's small terminal with a blues wire on it. If you get pack voltage there also, the solenoid's coil is good. Next, measure voltage on J1 Pins 6 & 8. One should have pack voltage on it both before and after the pedal is pushed and the other only has pack voltage after pedal is pushed. If you get pack voltage after pedal was pushed on whichever pin didn't have it before pedal was pushed, than the controller is probably bad. ------------ Here's the service manual. Diagnostics start on page F-28. |

Oh, and if it is the controller. What is the right replacement. Just looking for stock, direct swap I guess. but is that the current model number for a bolt in replacement.

However an Alltrax XCT48400-1264/1268 kit (or larger) for a MPT1000 is less than $1,000.00 https://alltraxinc.com/curtis-126412...t-replacement/ Personally, I'd go with Alltrax even if the Curtis controllers were being given away. I didn't see the MPT100 kit on Scottie's website, but I'm pretty sure he can get one for you. |

Last 1268-500 I bought was right at $500 but would require some programming.
