2019 Precedent immediately slowing down - please help
Hi All,
New to the forum but hoping someone can help figure out what is going on with my 2019 Club Car Precedent. Within the last month, when we try to drive the cart, it starts off at normal speed (max is 19 MPH) for about 100 yards and the goes to a crawl. After it is off for a few minutes, it starts off fine again before going to a crawl again. Here is what I have already checked/tried: - Verified batteries are still good. They are less than a year old and voltage meter read 47.6 for the 48v - Replaced speed sensor Here are some other things noticed (may or may not be relevant): - About a month ago it was having trouble charging until I reset the ERIC charger. Seems to be charging fine now. - Sometimes when starting it up and putting it in reverse, it doesn’t ‘take’ and I have to flip the switch a couple of times before it will work. I am hoping someone can point me what could be the issue or how to continue troubleshooting. Thanks for any help that can be provided. |

47.6V is not good for fully charged FLA batteries! My bet is you have bad batteries. Load test them. (Measure battery voltage while driving when it slows to a "crawl".

47.6v is much too low, it's below 40% SOC! Discharging that far will damage the FLA batteries ( s. enclosed Trojan battery chart )

Sorry, ya you are right it is low. I was thinking 48 was max but did another reading and was 54.4 when charged and after 3 min of driving around, was under 46. Looks like I’ve got a battery issue to work through. Thanks for the input.

Check individual batteries. Maybe you have a bad one - maybe all are bad. Check water levels too.
