I 100 % agree with Cartmaster. Installing these updated engines kills the value if you ever plan on selling the cart.
These engines are so simple to rebuild.
The one problem that is showing up here in the US right now is the availability of quality parts and rising prices.
Still better than any upgrade though as Cartmaster suggested.
thank you all for the feedback, sorry for the delayed response due to the hurricane bs.

i guess ill look into a rebuild kit after I pull the motor out and check the cylinders for any issues. any please youd recommend for a complete kit or where to buy? i dont want cheap parts, i am a firm believer in buying the right parts and tools for the job.

I think $1300 is a bit steep.for a used engine in unknown condition....

Is your cart MCI or Pre-MCI? If yours is pre then youd have some rewiring to make it work...

Personally as long as the cylinders arent junk I'd just rebuild it. Will run you a couple hundred bucks in parts and if you have a workhorse it takes 20 minutes max to pull that motor out.

i have a st-350 like this one. mines black. id give you an exact picture but i am on my laptop at work. also unsure if i have MCI or a pre MCI.

the person i bought this from, he owned a towing company and the cart was repo'ed. so it has no serial numbers at all.

i could take some pictures when i get home of the engine.

Pre-MCI has a cast iron exhaust manifold, MCI don't.

If I needed an MCI engine I would probably pay that much for the engine and differential if I didn't have a core or at least make him a lower offer. It looks like he put some silver paint on it to maybe cover up something but anyway I might make an offer. According to how bad I needed one and if I had to pay core charge.
Those are nice carts in your picture.
A quick look at the engine if you see a black timing cover it is Pre-MCI. Grey and its MCI and of course what StoveBolt said

well i screwed up. i feel dumb lol. i actually don't have a Robin eh35c i have the 295. i should have done my homework a little more before making a post but oh well. i just assumed it was the 350 because it had/has workhorse stickers on the cart itself.

that being said i found the engine sticker and saw it said 295. this is my first ezgo I've always had Club cars growing up so i was unsure where to look. (see picture)

i also attached a few more pictures of the engine and the bed liner i just did like a week before the engine grenade itself.
