86 club car locked up
Just picked up a 86 club car ds for $200 the seller said it has a locked up motor, is there anything I should look for to try and get it unlocked before I think about a rebuild

Re: 86 club car locked up
Even if you just get it un-seized it'll probably seize again if you just try to run it without doing any machine work. You can get the crank and rod re-machined for around $200 from J&M Golf Carts. I had a seized KF82 over the summer and had this done.

Re: 86 club car locked up
Step 1) Open it up and see why. As Springboro already mentioned, working it loose wouldn't be enough to make it drive able. Best case: if you did get it to run it would lockup again. Probably stranding you somewhere less convenient than at home. At a $200 initial investment you b fo a full rebuild or even big block it and come out quite well.
