CLutch part 2
OK got my new comet clutch and weight and springs replaced and clutch is installed. New belt is on. My question is this, How tight should i make the belt? Should I be able to spin the secondary clutch and belt and it not engage the primary clutch and just spin real loosely around the crank shaft?

Re: CLutch part 2
I run mine pretty tight. A little over 1" of deflection. In fact with a cold belt I have to turn the engine off between F/R. But after the belt warms up slightly it is fine. This gave me max speed for the RPMS. But again with 2"s of deflection other than less speed I didn't notice any other issues.

Re: CLutch part 2
Mine smells like burnt rubber if it is too tight. Or I could be having other issues :)
