Yamaha Rod Washers
I recently replaced a broken rod on an ezgo Robin engine and it came with two rod washers. Now I am doing the same with a Yamaha and it also comes with two star washers, Yamaha brand rod. Are these really necessary? I may have made a mistake by not using them on the ezgo, so I don't want to screw up on the Yamaha.

Yes they are necessary because they hold the rod straight so it doesn’t knock from the side to side play the E-Z-GO should be fine there built like tanks but if you can put them on the E-Z-GO then do it but 100% put the washers on the Yamaha
