Re: cart moves slow
How's the drive belt look?
Is it loose when sitting at idle or tight? Does it feel cupped on the top? Could be you just need to replace the drive belt but it's hard to tell from here! |

Re: cart moves slow
Here's a question that the answer may help us out locating your trouble, when you say it "wants to go" does it seem that the engine is straining against some unknown resistance or is the engine building RPM's just fine but no power is going to the drive system (like something is "slipping") ??

Re: cart moves slow
the engine rpms are fine no power from the drive. The belt is new and tight. when the rear end is up off the ground the wheels have a hard time rotating in some spots and the clutch is making a loud sound when the gas is pushed.

Re: cart moves slow
Sounds like you need to pull the rear wheels and drums off and check the brakes and bearings.

Re: cart moves slow
Well.. if the wheels are bound up and the motor spins the clutch might just complain a little eh?

Re: cart moves slow
with the wheel off the clutch still make the sound of a loose spring or something. the brakes and bearing look ok if I start the cart wth the wheels off the axle turns just fine and the clutch still makes the sound like a spring is loose.
