Star Cars Yahoo! Forum
Repost of the now lost original.
I have a red 6-seat Star Car brand electric golf cart. When I began researching I found very little information on the internet and no forums or sub-forums dedicated to the Star Car. So I started my own. We've only been up for a couple of months and only have a few members at this point, but I'm hoping it will serve as a helpful resource in the future. Feel free to just come by and check us out or refer new members look specifically for information and a "home" for their Star Car. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/starcar/ |

Nice cart! Looks just like an Ezgo. I read where it is a knock off of Ezgo. What is it price wise in relation to an Ezgo? It says it is much cheaper in price. Are the parts basically the same? Do they make a gas model?

We bought a Star last year @ work, fully loaded, turn signals, mirrors, horn, 36v, reat seat, headlight. It's been a great cart. It womps a stock G22 48 v like nothing. It's a regen cart, with a curtis controller and Advanced DC motor, and came stock with Trojan T 105's. I'd have to look it up, but I'm almost positive we got it for $4500 delivered to our shop. We haven't had one single problem with it and I would recommend it to everyone. Just from looking there are a ton of parts that look identical to my E-Z-GO.

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed reply. I've been away fishing for a week.
We paid $7200 for the cart as you see it. Lots of color options available (brochure posted at my Yahoo forum if you sign up). It uses a 400A Curtis controller is 48V (8 6V Trojans), top ends around 23mph (so they say, I haven't checked the speed against a GPS or pacing vehicle myself). I tried to see what kind of motor it has, but it's difficult to see....I'm going to need a mirror or something. And thanks, the lake house is a beautiful sanctuary for us that we feel very priveledged to be able to afford. The cart is a lot of fun and we feel a lot better about using it to get around than using our gas cars for the repeated short 1/2 mile trips to the dock and such. |
