1/2 speed reverse
Is there a way to disconnect it all together? Problem is I run 7 to 8 mph in forward or reverse. I'm hoping that some how the switch is marketing this happen. That's way to slow for any cart. 93 marathon controller 36v good batteries and good wires.

Re: 1/2 speed reverse
I'm not Johnnie but ... The stock Marathon potentiometer had 2 leads. The shorter lead sends the out put signal and connects to the controller. The longer lead connects to the reverse ms on the F&R. When these 2 wires are connected to each other, (switch on) the pot output is reduced by 50%. Hence 1/2 speed reverse. Simply disconnect one or more of these 2 wires from the F&R ms to disable 1/2 speed reverse.

Re: 1/2 speed reverse
Yes. If you have a pot box, the 1/2 speed microswitch adds series resistance, making the throttle think it's only 1/2 way pressed.
Actually, a fixed resistor in series with a variable resistor (potentiometer or pot) is not linear, but gets the job done. EDIT: just answering the question "could..." It shouldn't if it's operating correctly, but it "could". |
