DS seats

Does anyone happen to know if the early model DS seat will fit on the later model carts.

I believe the seats are interchangeable between all DS carts.

Are you trying to put 2 piece seat backs on the newer style?

I'm concerned more about the bottom

I lifted my cart and it's too high to get on and off good. I cut the left arm off the seat but would like the seat bottom to come all the way to the edge like on the older models.the lower part of the arm is not comfortable getting on and off over it.

Yes, they can be interchanged.
It does not matter if it is a 1 piece or 2 piece seatback.

OK. I know what you are talking about now. I like the older ones better too. You can swing your leg and sit sideways to talk to somebody.

I think you will have to buy the whole seat (bottom) to make it work without a bunch of modifying.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking of getting suite seats for it. That's the reason I wanted to know for sure the older ones would work.

Well thanks guys, I just pay a big stupid tax. I ordered a set of seats from suite seats. I was hoping the seats for an early DS would work on my 2003 cart. So from the reply I got to this question I pulled the trigger. Turns out they are not even close to working, or they sent me the wrong seats. Anybody want a set of suite seats for an early model DS.

The seats will work IF you use the metal tube frame of the earlier seats. I'm sure you found a depth issue if you tried them without. I did custom make a seat for one customer using a seat cover for a newer version, but cut the base without the side indents for the plastic handles.
