Tire Changers
Looking for someone with experience in changing golf cart tires manually. I’m talking about steel, aluminum, and chrome wheels eight, ten, and twelve inch.
I’ve changed about thirty plus steel wheels with a Harbor Freight tire changer. It’s not hard but would like it to be a little easier. Also would like to be able to change aluminum, and chrome wheels without scratching them. I’m thinking about buying a used No Mar Pro or Jr. Pro tire changer to do the about tasks without scratching the wheels. Does anybody have any experience in tire changers? I live in a retirement community with lot of golf carts and I'm retired. Not looking to create a business just wanting something to keep a little busy with. If you’re retired I think you'll know what I'm talking about. |

Re: Tire Changers
I know a little about what you are up against..... I'm retired from manually changing tires. I did chrome and aluminum wheels on my HF changer. I had hard rubber donuts for the center hold down (both sides) and I used aluminum spoons and LOTS of lube. For me a product called tire magic was slick as snot. One key was having my machine very solid mounted. Good luck with it.
