lift kit spindle play
So, I've got a Yamaha Drive (gas) in the shop today, it's been here before for the same problem. The cart is lifted (Rhox) and there seems to be a lot of play where the king pin bolt goes through the top of the spindle. What I did was remove the old bushings from the spindle and replaced them with some that fit snug. Then I tightened the kingpin bolt as much as I could (without stripping, of course) and it seemed to fix the problem...wrong! Here it is back in the shop a month or so later. What can I do to fix this and really tighten up the front end? There are no sleeves inside the drop spindles, and as far as I can remember, on Jake's lifts there is a sleeve inside. Any suggestions are welcome at this point. Thanks in advance!
