Rear Gear Ratio?
I have a 2000 CC Carryall 1 with the FE290 engine. I bought a brand new FE350 key start engine locally for a reasonable price and am thinking about installing it but the engine is CCW rotation. I have read a ton and know I can do a jackshaft assembly etc but was hoping for the most part a bolt in installation. I also know I can just run the transaxle in reverse but the ratio is lower and thats what I am after. What is the forward ratio and the reverse ratio? I have searched on this forum and never really saw a solid answer. I am not after crazy high speeds, just more torque and pulling power as this is a hunting cart, but I also dont want this thing to be a slow POS either, or be ridiculously fast in reverse and get somone hurt. Any info is helpful.

If you're interested, I have a set of 8:1 high speed gears that will bring your speed back up to normal. Brand new, never installed, still have the plastic coating on the teeth.
PM me if interested. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |
