145 to 165 psi

I check compression and I have only 30 to 40 psi so is that a good possibility its the head gasket...do you think if I replace the head gasket I should be OK..and y do you think the rod came out of the rocker arm like that

Here's a question...

Is your cart a "key start" cart? (should be around 70 psi w/ACR)

OR...

a "pedal start" cart? (should be around 160 psi)

Can someone tell me how to take the head off so u can put on the new head gasket...thanks this is awesome help .....jerry

Update..I installed the new head gasket set the valves 0.004 I now have 155 lbs of compression and the cart runs good now thanks for all the help
