I have a lifted 96 txt, and just put these on both the rear and the front. So far I am happy:

Picked em up at Autozone for around $24 a piece.

I can't comment on the gas shocks.....but if anyone has 'em, I would like to hear from them. I do have oil shocks on mine. In fact on another post, Paintdude said he purchased the same Gabrial shocks for his.

But.....(there's always a "but") for my TXT I had my BIL ....because he get's a discount, buy me the same spec's in a Monroe shock, part #31069 to replace my blown out front shocks. My Monroe's cost me $40 for the pair.

But like you....I would be interested in knowing the performance of a gas shock.

FWIW.
