Default Help identify these motors

I have 2 motors one is from a club car but I don't know what year the other has a different starter set up help I'm trying to make one good one

That first one looks like the older FZ340 flathead Club Car motor

Yes the first one is a Kawasaki FZ340 (aka KF82) motor that looks like it came right out of a Club Car golf cart.

The second one also looks like an Kawasaki FZ340 but with a starter on it. Club Car never used these motors with starters like that, so that motor likely came out of something other than a Club Car golf cart.

KF82 flathead motors were used in Club Car's gas golf carts from 1984 to 1991. Judging by the style of the drive clutch on that first motor, it likely came out of a Club Car older than 1987.5 (Club Car redesigned their drive clutches halfway through the 1987 model year).

As you see from this photo, all KF82 motors have the boss formed into the block for the starter attachment (upper left), but Club Car never used this feature in their carts.
