G16A Sputtering and starting

My 1999 G16 has the same issue as Cobrasw8 ... and I've replaced many of the same things. Local shop now says replacing the ignition relay and ignition coil will fix it, but are also saying it is 4 hours labor.

I'm no mechanic, but before I spend $500 on the repair I was curious if this sounded about right?

My G16 took me roughly 3 hours to pull coil out and replace it. I had to remove gas tank and carb to make room to get flywheel cover off. I'm mechanical but not a mechanic. Not that hard to do but it is time consuming.
