Re: Just bought a 1957 Chevy Club Car
Having fun "decorating" (as my wife calls it) my CC. Just added a custom made windshield based off a full-size '57 Chevy so I could hang some fuzzy dice. I still need to polish or paint the brackets, but it turned out pretty good IMO.
Oh, and I also wired up the horn button in the custom steering wheel. I read up that others have had problems running the wires down the column. So, I went wireless. I mounted a key fob size remote in the steering wheel cap that is hooked to the horn button and the receiver is down under but the horns. It works great! If anyone is interested in what all I did, let me know. Next up, I think I'll wrap or paint the bumpers for more of a chrome look. Havin' fun!!! |

Looking good! Where did you get the windshield done? Nice!
Please keep us posted on how the chrome wrap works out. I thought about trying that but a lot of small sharp curves in the bumpers etc. Seems to me would be very difficult. |

Re: Just bought a 1957 Chevy Club Car
For the windshield, I just bought a 12x48 plexiglass off eBay and then cut and bent it myself (using a heat gun and metal form) and then polished the edges. First time doing any of that but I like the results.
I'll let you know how the wrapping works. |

Re: Just bought a 1957 Chevy Club Car
Okay, I think I'm done with the windshield. I put a radius on the brackets and then dipped them in black plasti-coat to rubberize them and hopefully protect the paint and windshield. Only question now is what color fuzzy dice to hang?? Oh and instead of a rear mirror to hang then on, I mounted a cell phone magnetic base so I can see what playing on the Bluetooth radio. Works pretty good!
