Default Governor bypass

I found most of my answer on the Sticky threads but wanted to ask what I do with the governor arm. I disconnected all throttle cables from the governor for the bypass. Does the governor arm just stay on the transmission or do I need to remove it also. G16 cart

Thank you

You can let it flop, or you can remove the arm and leave the gov shaft to do what it wants!!

In doing so, don't over rev the motor, you can blow it up!! That also includes going down hill!!

Me? Don't know, don't use one!! Use my ears!!

Not hard to install, other than where to mount it, but then you have to live with it!! Don't need it after about 5 minutes!!

Easier solution, spring flip. Best speed while still having a governor. It's free, it works, it still closes the party down when you decide "I'm gonna go down that hill as fast as I can". Yeah, my carts dirty, I'll heat my burritos where I want, go eat a salad somewhere else. LOL!

Spring Flip?

Hey cgtech, can you give a bit more information on how to do the spring flip? In looking at your pic I am not sure what's going on there.

I was considering taking the governor off my G1 but, to be frank, too many people will be driving it other than me and my immediate family. I know the way people are when they are out of sight, especially if they have a couple of "sodas" in them. For their sake and for the cart's sake I don't want anyone racing around at 30 mph when I am not around. That said, I wouldn't mind something a bit faster than 15. This spring flip sounds interesting.

On the g1 there's a Philips screw on the governor arm if you screw that all the way in it's gets you right about 15 16 mph no mods needed

Yeah, I saw that. That's not the same thing as the spring flip is it?

It almost seems like gctech knows a little secret that I wouldn't mind knowing.
