Default g16 rear end noise... NEW Clutchs and still noisey

i have a customer cart in the shop and im having some problmes with it, seems like g16s all get noisey at some point in their life. ive had 3 make this noise and a new secondary clutch fixed all of them. well not the one i have in the shop currently. i installed new primary and secondary clutches on this cart and the noise didnt go away at top speed. (the bad vibration i had before did go away though) when you get to top speed it makes a growling noise. ive never had to take one of these diffs apart in a yamaha before so i dont know much about them. is this a common problem? ive done some searching and never got a direct answer on what the problem could be. any ideas?

thanks in advance for the help

Is there any play--up, down, side to side--in the input shaft? Sounds like it could be a bad input shaft bearing.

it doesnt seem like it. i was trying to wiggle it when i had the secondary shaft off and move it around and it was pretty solid. ill double check though

Yep, after I snapped the shaft.

It's not that difficult. Having a shop manual helps.
