I ended up buying a brand new 350 from Radical Golf Carts on the forum here. They posted the motor for sale earlier in the year wanting to clear out some inventory (http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-...otor-sale.html ). It came complete with everything - motor, ignition, muffler etc. It was a screamin deal and it bolted right up. I only had to make a very small modification to a cable bracket from my old motor and I was up and running.

Might I then ask what happened to your old engine.. Did you sell it ?

I'd be interested in it, if not..

These prices are for a rebuilt engine not just labor. while i'm not sure about J&M (they were sponsors of this site, I guess they dropped over the summer)
Other places to check are golf car power products, and motors and more. They sell turn key engines with a warranty, if your core is bad there is an extra charge. Motors and More builds a 325 (bored out 295) that make for a great replacement in carts. the bigger piston adds to the compression for more power while the shorter stroke lets the engine spin up faster compaired to the 350. At any rate, the low prices of these replacement engines makes it hard to justify rebuilding the engine yourself. All it takes to ruin a rebuild is not to pre-lube the crank and your engine will be on a path of self destruction as soon as it's started. There are a multitude of ways to screw the pooch when rebuilding these engines

You can say that again..I know I got lucky when I did a 'piece job' on my basket case, I am not stupid. It was luck o the draw, period.

All it takes is to over torque one capscrew .

Can you tell me who is currently offering rebuilt motors? I could not find the "Motors and More builds a 325 (bored out 295)" that Ruredy mentioned?
Thanks,
