Also, if it's the same cart I'm thinking of, there is a 3 wire plug that comes from the throttle that's located kinda under the charge port in front of the batteries. Check that for corrosion. One of the wires is purple and one is yellow, can't remember what the third one is. I recently worked on one and that plug had dry rotted and the pins were green with corrosion.
