Let's talk brakes
I'd like to see some comments re brakes.
My Club Car Carryall II has rear brakes only and they are OK but there are times when I wish they were a bit better. I've checked the drums and pads, both are not new but seem OK, and have the cable adjustment correct. Comments, ideas, welcomed. |

Sure wish they made a front disc application for stock 8" rims, but they dont. Must have minimum 10" rims for a jakes or ausco setup. A real bummer.

Re: Let's talk brakes
Upgrade to the Ausco rear disc assemblies! They aren't too bad to install and improved my stopping power a good 50% of the factory drums. They're a little pricey, and for just a touch more you can get the hydraulic brake upgrades, but from what I've read they can be a pain to install and being as strong as they are and on the front they can get you in a bind sometimes. I was afraid the cable operated rear discs weren't going to be enough, but I gave them a shot anyways. I am more than happy with their performance! Although I do think they still require at least a 10" wheel.
