Default Motor brush problem

Ok I have been working on this motor and have found this set up as far as the letters and not. go.
A2---S1 top of motor facing rearward
S2---A1

Now have found that post A2 has been hot and the white wire is a little black on the outside and insulator is hard and the bolt itself is broke off half way down. Cant get it loose to work on. Any suggestion on removal of the end place which covers the brushes. Seems I have a mix of the old style and new style motor also.....

sorry this is a 48V GE series motor 1996

Which bolt? Motor bolt or are you referring to the motor stud the cable hooks too?

Be sure you use a high quality penetrating oil on them and double wrench every stud. If you broke off a motor stud then get the rest of the cables off so you can get it off the cart and work on it. (Soak it all down with penetrating oil if you are taking off the motor)

I doubt that many people understand what you are saying. How about a picture or two?

Looks like someone broke the stud and has put the wire below the nut next to the casing with the top nut gone. So no way to hold with two wrenches.
