Speed code? Club car prec 07
Can someone please tell me more about speed codes on CC prec? Is there a way to tell what mine is on? And best way to get it to a 4?? We don’t live around a dealer. Just bought this and it was on a golf course prior to. It’s been running really slow. We did the speed sensor test. All seemed good there. Should we try the magnet thingy? Thx!

Re: Speed code? Club car prec 07
That would be an IQ cart and the speed codes are as follows with stock 18.5" tires:
Speed Setting 1 = 8 MPH Speed Setting 2 = 13.2 MPH Speed Setting 3 = 14.8 MPH Speed Setting 4 = 19.6 MPH (Private Code - Purchase and programming required) A speed magnet will work on your cart, but you will lose the regen braking. Check to see if you have a GE motor (flat snap-in style sensor) or ADC motor (top hat style sensor) and purchase one here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/motors |

So is the only way to tell what setting you are on is to see how fast it goes?
We felt like the cart used to go faster and sometimes starts off a tad zippier but then slows down. It’s pretty slow. We know nothing about carts yet so any guidance is very much appreciated. |

A GPS will tell you your speed in comparison to the provided speed chart with stock 18.5" tires. You would need a Curtis Hand-Held to read the speed code if you cannot match it to the chart.

Possible the speed sensor on the motor has failed.
On level ground try to push the cart with the key on, in forward, brake off. You should feel resistance, and hear the buzzer beeping. If no resistance and no buzzer the speed sensor is dead. |

Make sure you have a good charge on the batteries.

Thanks everyone. We passed that speed sensor test and battery read test is good. Anything else we should try?

Solenoid contacts welded. Will cause cart to go into limp mode.
