Default FairPlay Cart

Hi guys,

I am not sure if I am posting to the right thread but....

I believe I have a FairPlay Cart that came with a ZQ48-3.0b-t controller. The cart periodically only have full throttle and very dangerous to ride. Other times it works fine. I have replaced the 0 - 5k ohm potentiometer but are still having the same issues. Any thoughts?

FairPlay does not exist. They got bought out by STAR EV.

That original controller got replaced later on down the line (just before Star Merger) with a more reliable/programmable Curtis. The controller you got used to be programmable with a very expensive USB kit, but support for that ended once Microsoft axed Windows XP (last supported operating system, I cannot get it to talk to Vista, 7, much less 10--We even keep an old XP machine in service just for the odd FairPlay with that controller that comes in where customer just wants a speed upgrade)--this kit/software is also used for diagnostics.

Need a Curtis upgrade kit. Not sure where those are. We can't get them.

Old post, but FYI I bought an alltrax 350 amp controller worked great on my 07 Fairplay and I have great power from the stock 4hp motor. About $425, a guy on eBay sells them and will program it for you if you provide him a little info. Not a bad install either. Don't have the cart at home right now, so I can remember the Alltrax number, but you can Google it to find the replacement for the earlier DCX controllers
