You do not want to use the "drop in" 12v lithium cell battery boxes in your rxv. 2 reasons why-
1- past "early adopters" of those 12v lithium drop-in boxes had no success (see reason 2). 2- those batteries have built in BMS which "switches the battery off" for any fault. If the power is randomly disrupted to a rxv, that can cause a couple of problems.. first, it Will lock-up the rear axle at whatever speed you are traveling at, Possible vehicle crash, and sure motor brake damage. Second, random power disruption can corrupt the controller and damage it. I might find those LI batteries interesting in the future (if they could handle real "golf cart loads"), but not for a RXV or 2five because of how it acts if the power is interrupted. |

....and, a lithium project is a tinkerer's project. Unless you have the time, expertise and desire to futz with a whole 'nuther science, just go with regular batteries and enjoy the ride.
