That shows the issue. A drop axle may give you 3.0-3.5" of lift with the spring pads below the axle. Above the axle offers the needed clearance.

Yep, you're right.
I saw a couple online today and they were all top mounted. I am going to reposition the spring to the top and see how it works.

Rooster, do you happen to know the brand of your axle?

All Sports. Their direct online store is American Lift Kits. The kit I bought is the 5" drop axle for a TXT.

They claim it works with 23x11-14 tires. Mine in the photos has 23x10.5 tires and doesn't even hint at rubbing anywhere front or rear. I would buy it again.

Thank you. Yeah, I can see in that picture that you are WAY more clear of the fenders. I am going to relocate my springs either this evening or in the morning.

So I had the opportunity to grab some 3 1/2" bolts this afternoon and go home and jack up the cart.

Weird thing, going on top of the axle makes the spring hit the tie rods. I can't exactly see the positioning of your steering arm in the photo; it doesn't look significantly different than what's on mine.

Do you know if there is a different steering arm from the steering gearbox to the tie rods?

By the way, in the above photo, I had the spring reversed as this was the closest position to not rubbing I could get.

Rooster, In your photo, your tie rods are almost straight in line with one another. Mine are not that way as it would appear that the arm from the steering box is longer perhaps than yours. You can kind of see it in the picture from page 2.

Well, it gives the lift necessary, but it just doesn't clear the steering. I will need a different (shorter) steering arm to make mounting the spring on top a viable option. I don't know if this is something that is available.
