Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
Here's another thing to check. On the Controller Setting Page see what your "Under Voltage" slider is set to. If it is set too high and your voltage decreases to that level the controller will start limiting the current to keep it above your set value. I would set it to 40 volts, the voltage value of one battery.

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
70oldracer's battery voltage never dropped below 46.1V during the data log where the throttle would only go up to 93%.
Also, he is running a 4x12V pack, while others run 8x6V and others run 6x8V, so 1 battery voltage below the nominal pack voltage could be 36V, 40V or 42V with a 48V pack. I suggest setting the low voltage cutoff at 1.5VPC (Volts per Cell), which is 36V for a 48V pack, 31.5V for a 42V pack and 27V for a 36V pack. |

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
That's all well and good but I would still like to know where he has his "Under Voltage" setting at.

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
I’m going to hook up the lap top a little later today. I’ll check the low voltage setting and also record another ride to see if it’s still only showing 93%

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
My under voltage is set at 20 volts. Should I change it to 36 volts?

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
My throttle rate is set at 12.5, is that good or should I change that?

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
Is it possible OP needs a filter? I was just on Alltrax' website looking for something unrelated, and I noticed the filter. I know it's rare to need them, but could that maybe explain 100% on one run but only 93% on another?

Re: Help reading Alltrax monitor files
That's bizarre, but consistency may help ultimately. How does a series controller and/or ITS know whether you are going up or down?
Have you ever opened the throttle box? Is there maybe something loose inside there? My ITS had one mounting screw broken off. It seems to be firmly connected now, but it may have been "flapping around" before I fixed it. No symptoms, but I doubt if I could have told whether mine was 93% or 100% without a laptop. |
