Club car power problems
When turning the key on the meter shows I have a full charge but as soon as I hit the petal the meter goes blank. Now a few times the solenoid did click but the car would not move. Checked the batteries and they all have a 8.4 to 8.3 charge. It is a 1995 48v Club car

Re: Club car power problems
The serial Number is A9542 469166. I did do a test on the forward micro switch by hooking a test light to the last negative out, placing the test light on the bottom terminal of the forward micro switch and turning the key on. Then putting the car in forward and pressing the acceleration pedal. After doing this my power meter just loses power for a minute then comes back on.

Re: Club car power problems
This should have a 5k-0 pot box. Can you confirm a Pot box at the pedal or has it been changed to a MSP (V-glide)?
And for sure you need to pull and clean each cable in the interim as this sure sounds like a connection issue. Inspect the FNR switch and ensure you do not have burnt connections or excessive play in the switch that causes it to lose contact. |

Re: Club car power problems
. It’s a round potentiometer made by BI. With a separate Micro switch. Can’t get the pic to work

Re: Club car power problems
When you say "meter" are you referring to a digital multimeter or a state-of-charge meter mounted on your cart?

Re: Club car power problems
Did you verify all your battery and motor/controller connections integrity to be in good condition and tight?
Your picture did not come through.... |
