New Brake cables too long
I have a 1994 Gas Club Car DS and the other day one of the brake cables locked up. So I ordered new cables that says they fit (10L0L Brake Cables for Club Car DS, 42" Long 1981-1999)
I installed the cables and they are too long. I adjusted the assembly that connects the pedal to the cables all the way but it only grabs on the brakes if you push the pedal all the way, and there is no tension on the pedal it's way too easy to press down. I adjusted the drum brakes 3 clicks from where it grabs on to the shoe but still no fix. I looked for shorter cables but all I could find are 41.5" cables that are made for 2000+ carts and doesn't have the pin thing at the end for the older models. It has a 6" Jake's Lift kit and I've seen people needing longer cables but that was never an issue for my cart the brakes worked great with the standard cables. |

Re: New Brake cables too long
I have a 2000 CC DS, the ones they sent me for my year and model were wrong, it was too long and no clip like other end, the 102022101 cable was the longer one and found that I needed the 1011403 which is slightly shorter see images, hope this helps
