Default 1992 Club Car DS intermittently starts/ crank

I have a gas 1992
Club Car DS and more times then not it will not start. When it will not start it is due to it not turning over. I have to turn engine over by hand a cycle or two then it will turn over by pressing the pedal and it may start fine a few times then I have to turn it over by hand again.

Hello. Welcome to BGW. Do you have a good, fully charged battery?

Yes . What I have to do is turn clutch by hand and then it will start. Sometimes I have to do it two or three times

I am going to pull it apart soon a d when I do I will check the starter . I was thinking maybe a weak starter and when it stops on a compression stroke it is hard to start . Like I said if I turn engine over by hand it will then start. But it dont seam to be on a compression stroke. Again I have not got into it. Just thought i would get some input on this to know where to start
