2007 Drive/G29 Installing Harbor Freight Badland Winch & Mount Plate
I think I've figured a way to use the Harbor Freight Badland 2500lb Hitch, mounted to the Harbor Freight Badland ATV Winch Plate (SKU 60522). I have it mocked up in the pics.. Don't worry about how it looks now, it's just mocked up with temp fasteners that I had laying around.
1. I took the bumper off & knocked off the welded nuts for the bumper holes. 2. Put the stock winch plate under the bumper mount C channel upside down 3. installed the winch rope rollers that were included with the Winch.. to the winch plate. 4. attached the Winch to the mount I think this solution is going to work perfectly for my 2007 Yamaha Drive/G29 YRDE. That mount plate is the perfect size, I just have to drill some custom holes in the plate to get the bumper mount holes to line up with the plate. Also, I'll be able to use the factory bumper with this solution, I just need to cut the bottom couple of inches from the bumper plastic to make room for the winch rope rollers. Before I continue with this, does anyone have any input? |
