Boosting 48v cart
Is it safe to jump one cart to the other ,both are 8volt system,Can you plug the charger in on the good cart to help top up the batteries on the other cart. The dead pack batteries are reading 2/4 volts each. They are not bulged out ,don, tthink they froze,
Thank olddog |

Re: Boosting 48v cart
Yep, I do it all the time at our golf courses. once the charger kicks in, leave the jump for a few minutes before removing them. Maybe longer if the batteries are really low like yours seem to be.
You can run both chargers or even better, run the charger on the dead pack until voltage is high enough, then recharge the cart you used for jumping. I usually put the carts in Tow mode first. |
