Re: EZGO ST4x4 help
Yesterday i had a chance to look at the EZGO. I took off the drive belt cover and found the betl to be in a poor state. I have ordered a new one, which should be here next week, and see if it makes any difference. I also disconnected the F/R linkage and it travels freely with very little resistance.

Re: EZGO ST4x4 help
Belt looks a little worn, but they all pretty much look like that after
a while. If the only thing different that makes it where you can't easily change from F to R is the motor running, It is premature engagement. Mine did the exact same thing, until I idled it down some. |

Re: EZGO ST4x4 help
Yea that belts on it's way out, past time for a new one. cracks like that happen when they sit for prolonged periods of time. (dry rot) You may need to adjust the shifting linkage, i'm not sure how they're done on that cart but cables will stretch over time.

Re: EZGO ST4x4 help
Hello again, it has been a while since my last post but i am pleased to say nearly all the problems have been sorted thanks to everyones help.
The final problem has just become apparent, the drivers side rear wheel bearing appears to have failed as the wheel can be rocked side to side and a makes a "clunking" noise - never a good start. I have spent the last few hours searching the internet for either the wheel bearing or a complete axle (part number 602793 in the st4x4 service parts manual) but have failed to find anything! Does anyone have any links or contact information for the parts? Chris |
