Default Possible electrical prob

Hi.
Just bought a 1988 EZGO Marathon last week. Everything running well till today. Anyway, gave it a power spray today to get rid of all the rats nests and gopher homes that were around the motor. I left the key on and when I was finished moved it a little to get it away from the wash bay. A couple of mins later it's trying to start on it's own. Like turning over but not going cause it hasn't got enough gas. So I pulled it over to the overnight parking area and it still wants to keep running when I stop. Had to turn off the key to get it to stop turning over. Any ideas on what is going on.? Have I just got water in somewhere that is completing a circuit or is it more than that. Not sure where to look or what to examine.
Thanks in advance.

Probably got water in the start micro and needs to dry out.
Spray the electrical components down with WD-40 (stands for Water displacing, formula 40)
If you were here in VA. it wouldn't take but 4 minutes, man it's hot!!

Thanks Crash.
Will take some WD40 with me tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Otherwise, Wednesday. Weather here hasn't been too bad but a lot of rain the past week or so. Oh well. keeps the course it good shape. Again, Thanks
Bob

Hi Crash,
Thanks for your advise. Cart worked fine today and gave most of the contact points I could see a spray of WD40. Now if I could figure out how to delete the thread I would do so. Any ideas ??

Delete this one?
It stays to help when people do searches for problems, someone will come across this while searching about a similar issue and can go from there, or as I do, try to remember the tip for future reference.
