Why does my engine seam to be getting a little warm?
I just put a new top end in my 1992 Marathon and I'm now running mixed a gas. 80:1
The last couple years I noticed the engine getting a little warm at times and last fall a buddy of mine melted the pistons down. Blame that on a miss communication on the type of oil to use. I'm wondering if the over heating of the engine could be caused by the muffler? I'm thinking the 10-w30 that got ran through it last year may have gummed up the muffler. Any Ideas??? Should I replace the muffler or look some where else? |

Do a thread search on muffler BBQ... It will give you some good info. on how to heat that sucker up and cook out that gunk.. Might save you some moolah and fix your problem...
