I guess I would put a DMM/test light on the starter side of the solenoid and verify it was sending 12v to the starter motor when you turn the key to start. If so then check voltage engine block to battery negative and if you don't get any when you try to start it, the starter might be the problem. I have looked at some parts for them they are not that expensive, or you can use some honda parts that may be of better quality. Most honda parts fit but not sure about starters.

well i contacted carrol stream and theyre sending me a new starter for free!!! well i just gotta pay shipping but no big deal they are very helpful!!!
