Default New to forum, 2003 TXT

Hello, all. new to the forum. Just picked up my 2003 TXt gas yesterday. Wanting to change the oil, few questions. What oil to use? Is there a filter? how much oil? What size is my engine, it has 2 spark plugs. Should I change anything else? has new belts and fuel filter. runs great. Oil looks black. Anything with rear end need changed oil wise? Thanks for your help!

The motor is a 295cc Robins (if not replaced), does have a reusable oil filter (3 bolts, side of motor) I clean with gas and blow dry with compressed air. I use 10w30 (1.5 quarts) Rearend should be good if not leaking, change air filter too.

You're welcome.

You are suppose to use 80/90wt oil in the gas rear end.

I think 30wt is for electric and gas uses gear oil. I use 75-90 in both. Have yet to have any issues. Makes them run quiter.

I just looked at my repair and service manual and it says SAE 30 oil. Page A-7 under lubricants
