Radio installation
Plan on putting a marine radio in my gas ez go and just wondering if there are any do's or don'ts. I just plan on putting the remote and hot wire together to the battery and the ground to the battery too. Is that all I need to do?

Re: Radio installation
Thats all I did with mine. Just keep in mind that the clock will kill the battery if you don't use the cart much.

Re: Radio installation
I only get to get on mine about once a week and the battery is still fine.

Re: Radio installation
That's the way I did it too, didn't bother going to the key, since the radio has an on/off button, besides, I don't want it on everytime I turn the key.
I had the clock issue on my boat, I just hit the "detach" button, and it pops the face halfway off, clock goes off and no worries....do the same with the Ezgo. Believe it or not, that clock will drain a marine starting battery in only two weeks. I'm actually going to add a switch, so I won't have to worry about it. If you are going in the ball holder, you will probably need some small flat head screws to secure the sides of the sleeve to the sides of the ball holder after you cut your hole. By the time I got done trimming enough for it to fit perfect, I hit a big bump and the whole dammm thing fell into the dash... Two little screws solved that problem. I used a marine wire antenna, it just sits in the hole back there and catches all the local stations with no issues, without having to mount an external ant. to the body. |

Re: Radio installation
I bought the small rubber antenna to put on the body somewhere. I am going in the ball holder so thankds for the tip about the screws. Maybe later I may go with some toggle switches for headlights, radio and flashing strobe light.
