Default Which CC's have which engine???

Know nothing about CC's, have gas EZGO TXT right now.

Looking at getting a CC and not clear on what engines are in them, hp rating, and what years have what.

Will be lifting it and putting big wheels and tires whatever we get.

Thanks in advance!!

The options on Club Car's golf carts are the Kawasaki FE350 11.5hp (standard on many utility vehicles and the Precedent golf cart)
FE400 13 hp engine, which is the only engine offered on the Carryall 272 utility vehicle

- Precedent i2 Gas
  • AlumiCore™ Chassis, a rustproof, non-corrosive frame which enhances the stability, ride and performance of the car
  • Choice of original IQ or upgraded Excel™ electric system
  • Powerful and quiet 350cc 11.5 hp Kawasaki engine
  • SportDrive™ steering and suspension provide an invigorating, sports car-like driving experience
  • Monsoon Top™, the industry's first canopy with built-in drain spouts to automatically channel water straight to the ground

So the 13hp has NEVER been offered on other carts besides the Carryall? All have the 11.5hp?

FE 290 = 9.5 hp - from 92 to present (DS, Carryall 1, and 04 to 07 Precedents)
FE 350 = 11.5 hp - from 95 to present (Some DS, some Carryalls, Precedents (07 and up), and some XRT vehicles
FE 400 = 13.5 hp - Some 01+ larger Carryalls. and 07+ medium sized XRT's I really don't know... I sure wouldn't mind having one though!

The tag will tell you!

Hope this helps a little!

Anyone have any idea how the 11.5 compares in power to the 9hp Robins in my TXT? Our campground is fairly hilly.

We have a 06' with a FE 290 and machined clutches and have no problems climbing hills with 4 people. You should be fine with either 290-350

That's like comparing Apples to Oranges, but it is 2 more horsepower!
A bone stock FE350 is a good strong engine, with plenty of torque, even with 4 people aboard!

Here's a pic of a hill that my cart (with an FE350) climbs at least 4 times a day with no problems!
(don't mind the snow... it's not there now, but there is an asphalt road under there!)

Some sparkies, 2 cycles, and older carts have problems with this hill, My FE350 climbs it like its nothing!

Much more torque on the 11.5 and it's torque you need to climb hills and drag dead pigs and drunks out of ditches. Put it this way; If you attached a tow rope to both vehicles arse to arse and gave them gas, your TXT would be dragged away backwards.
