Default +12 Volt Battery charging problem

I played 18 holes of golf and started charging my batteries about 3 hours ago and just now I checked the batteries during the charge and the #4 battery was showing 15.67 volts and the others were at 13.57 volts. Is this normal or is it out of tolerance. This is a standard 2008.5 cart without any accessories added as of yet.

I believe that the last part of the charging cycle, when charger is down below 5 amps, it equalizes the batteries . . . assuming batteries are in good condition . . .

Steve,..thanks for the response. I guess I would like to get my hands on some real analysis of just how chargers work. I don't know what they can do in a charger that would affect one battery since all they can do is control the total voltage and the current. IF one battery has a larger voltage across it, this just means that it has higher internal resistance to the charge.

Anyway, after the charge was over the same battery shows 12.70 volts and the others were 12.60, 12.65, 12.62. What also bothers me is that on one of the batteries the first cell was about in the middle of the RED with Hydrometer reading and all the others were in the Green.

I have an excellent Automobile charger that provides options for charging at 5, 10, 25 amps, and Equaliztion as well as "Desulfate". The problem is that both of the last two cycles take 24 hours to execute. If anyone knows anything about this please post.
